Home of Mercy —
A Place to Belong
The vision of The Table of St Francis has always extended beyond providing a meal. We know that homelessness is complex, and meaningful change requires more than immediate relief.
That vision became even clearer when we brought our volunteers to visit Emmanuel City Mission in Brisbane. Seeing practical support, community and dignity come together under one roof gave us a glimpse of what could one day be possible here on the Sunshine Coast.
And perhaps one of our greatest strengths is already around the table—our volunteers.
Within our volunteer community are engineers, social workers, risk managers, training specialists and consultants, mental health specialists, healthcare workers, chefs, childcare specialist, hospitality workers and people from many other walks of life. Each brings not only their time, but professional knowledge, practical skills and lived experience that can contribute to something much greater.
The Home of Mercy is our vision to harness this incredible pool of skills, alongside community organisations and professional partners, to create holistic pathways that go beyond immediate relief—helping people build confidence, access support, develop skills and ultimately transition out of homelessness towards greater stability and independence.

We already have the compassion. We already have the people. The vision is to bring it all together under one roof - at Home of Mercy.
